Cottage Gate is a pet friendly, with restrictions, detached home condominium community of 105 homes located off of Route 36 in the Atlantic Highlands section of Middletown Township. Residents own their own home and responsible to the exterior maintanence, but the homeowner’s association maintains the lawns and common areas. Construction begin in the mid 2000’s, but came to a halt when the original developer went bankrupt. The community is being completed by D.R. Horton, a large national developer. There are at least 8 different floor plans, with home ranging in size from approximately 2100 to over 3000 square feet. All homes have three or four bedrooms, at least 2.5 baths, a basement and a two car garage. For commuters, the NY high speed ferry is about five minutes away and the Middletown train and Garden State Parkway are about a 15 minute drive. For beach lovers, Sandy Hook and Sea Bright beaches are less than 10 minutes from the door.
