Shadow Lake Village – Middletown, NJ

Shadow Lake Village is a pet-friendly, active adult, age restricted community of 952 apartment and townhouse style condominiums located off of Nut Swamp Road in Middletown. Built in the late 1970's by K. Hovnanian, Shadow Lake Village is one of the original and still among the largest age-restricted communities in Monmouth County.  There are at least 27 different models, with either one or two bedrooms, and sizes range from over 800 to approximately 1745 square feet, according to tax records, with many having a garage.  On-site amenities include a 9 hole par 3 golf course, a boat house and dock, a swimming pool, tennis courts, a clubhouse, shuffleboard courts and gated entry to the community.  Due to its size, there are many organized activities for residents to involve themselves with.  The location is convenient, being just a few minutes from downtown Red Bank and the Garden State Parkway.  At least one resident must be 55 years of age and there can't be any full-time residents under the age of 18.
