Sea Bright is a seaside community in Monmouth county with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Shrewsbury River to the west.  Although the Borough is almost 3.5 miles long from north to south, the total land area is under .75 square miles.  First settled in the 1840s, the early name for the area was Nauvoo and Sea Bright became a borough in 1889, being created from a portion of Ocean Township.  The 2010 census listed Sea Bright as having just over 1800 residents, although there are also a number of seasonal residents as well.

Sea Bright is a town for beach lovers and boaters alike.  There are seven beach clubs in town and a number of marinas, including some in the upscale townhouse communities found in town.  The housing is a mix of single-family homes and condominiums and townhomes.  The prices range throughout the spectrum, from entry level housing to high-end riverfront homes and townhomes.  The business district, located on Ocean Avenue, has banks, a hardware store, and a number of restaurants catering to all palates.
